One Sky, Many Destinies

Saturday, Nov 11 2017 at 7:30 PM

Nearly every time we flip through the channels, open our laptops or scroll through Twitter, we’re exposed to a seemingly constant barrage of hate, bigotry, and division from all over the world. We are fortunate to live in a country where, although not perfect, the ideals of unity, equality, kindness and respect are forefront aspects of day-to-day life. Join the CMC as we reaffirm openly and proudly these Canadian values through paired music and spoken word. We will explore stories of those lives cut short by violence, far too often through racism, abuse of power, and unnatural hate, and respond with music that offers remembrance, hope, courage, and the strength to continue the fight for these values.

Join the CMC as we close out our 2016-2017 season with a Canadian celebration.

A Goodly Manor for A Song!

The Bodacious Bard defined literary art, and his influence on Western literature and thought is widespread, spanning all generations. The CMC celebrates Shakespeare with an evening of words and music that capture the drama and beauty of Shakespeare's poetry, as well as his timelessness in later works influenced by his brilliance. Join us as we look at Shakespeare's lasting impact through the lens of the great Bard of Avon himself!
